CHURCH CONSULTATIONS
This is a service that AAPC offers
for churches in the beginning stages of the adoption process.
It is a customized meeting held at your local church to strategize
with the senior pastor and/or mission pastor, mission staff, mission
committee, etc. concerning a personalized plan for a church adoption
of an unreached people group.
A church consultation usually
involves an evening and the following day. During the evening
session, which only involves a small number of the leadership,
introductions are made, the history of the church mission program
is shared, and a general idea of what the church is desiring to
do is discussed. The following day, the meetings are opened up
to additional people involved with missions in the local church
for foundational teachings on the adoption process such as "How
to Choose an Unreached People Group," "How to Involve
the Whole Church in the Adoption Process," "How to Take
the Church to the Next Stage," etc.. This can also be scheduled
on a weekend, adding a Saturday evening meeting open to the whole
church (Concert of Prayer, youth GLORYRAVE, etc.) and even a Sunday
morning service emphasizing God's heart for unreached peoples
and the harvest.
