NETWORKING
What if you could meet with other
churches and organizations who share your passion for a particular
people group? What if you could hear their stories, pray together,
share resources for mobilization, and learn from their experience?
What if you could find out how the skill and experience you bring
to the field fit best into a long-term strategic effort to reach
the people group you have adopted?
That's what NETWORKING is all about!
If there is another church who has adopted the same people group,
you should know about it!
HOW TO GET STARTED
E-mail Adopt-A-People with:
1. The name of the people group you have adopted and what country
they are in.
2. Your name, address, phone number, and e-mail address.
3. The name of the church you attend, its address, phone, and
pastor's name.
4. One security reference that we can check. This should be the
name of a pastor, mission's leader, or someone in ministry who
knows you.
5. The type of activity you are presently engaged in or planning
among that people group.
YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE ANY WORK-AMONG
INFO WITHOUT COMPLYING WITH OUR REQUEST TO FURNISH ALL OF THE
ABOVE INFORMATION.
Your name and adoption will also
be added to our Network Registry along with what you are doing
among that people group. If there is a formal network already
formed for your people group and meeting regularly, your name
will be given to the host church of the network.
If there is no formal network
that has been formed, and you are one of several churches adopting
the same people group, you may want to begin and host a network
meeting for that group. AAPC would be glad to help you get started.
